AFC Mentoring will hold 5th Annual Match Gala on June 4th, 2014
Boston, Massachusetts, April 25th, 2014 – Adoption & Foster Care (AFC) Mentoring will be holding its 5th annual Match Gala Event on Wednesday, June 4th, 2014 from 6-9pm at the Artists for Humanity EpiCenter in South Boston. The Match Event is a celebration of AFC’s commitment to youth in foster care and reflects AFC’s organizational culture: inviting, inclusive, innovative, and empowering!
Match 2014 will feature delicious food tastings from some of Boston’s best eateries and most talented chefs, including Alma Nove, Bistro du Midi, Coppa, The Gallows, Gourmet Caterers, The Harvard Club of Boston, and Post 390. AFC is proud to honor State Senator Stan Rosenberg, who grew up in foster care and has been an advocate for foster youth throughout his career. You won’t want to miss his inspiring story. AFC will also honor Eastern Bank and Laura Kurzrok, Executive Director of the Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation, for their long-term commitment to mentoring and youth in foster care. AFC will celebrate a mentoring “match of the year” and guests will have the opportunity to hear directly from an AFC youth speaker.
A silent auction to benefit AFC will take place, as well, and includes amazing items such as two tickets to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, an autographed copy of the pilot script to Orange is the New Black, a four night’s stay in Nantucket, and two roundtrip domestic airline tickets on JetBlue, to name a few. Tickets to Match cost $100 until May 21st, 2014 and $125 between May 21st and June 4th, 2014. Ticket cost includes all food and beverage for the evening and can be purchased online at www.afcmentoring.ticketleap.com/match2014. Checks can also be mailed to AFC Mentoring, 727 Atlantic Ave. 3rd Floor, Boston, MA, with guest information enclosed. 100% of proceeds will go directly to support AFC’s programs for youth in foster care.
