This month, we’re excited to spotlight volunteer mentor Aidan! Aidan matched with volunteer mentor Aidan, left, and his mentee, right, at a paint night eventmentee Ivens last year during Learn & Earn, and the pair has been inseparable ever since.

The match has been “crushing it since day 1,” says Rachel Asam, their program coordinator. Aidan and Ivens talk frequently and make the most out of Silver Lining’s group events. In fact, they first met in-person at a Red Sox game with other Silver Lining folks.

Whether they’re taking a cooking class or putting their art skills to the test at a paint night, Aidan and Ivens find quality time to be helpful in building their relationship. Even when things are busy, Aidan keeps in touch with Ivens via text and phone calls. That’s what it means to meet young people where they are!

On behalf of the entire Silver Lining community, THANK YOU, Aidan, for being an incredible mentor!
